  GALLERY :: Guernsey & Alderney

Guernsey is about as far south in the UK you can go, 75 miles south of Weymouth. It's only 12 miles long and you are never far from the sea.

Alderney is the Northern most of the Channel Islands and is only 3 miles long by 1.5 miles wide.

I've now spent two May half term holidays with the family on Guernsey. The weather on both occasions was a little mixed, but that often comes with the benefit of more striking light.

In the Summer 2013 I visited Alderney for a long weekend with my wife Julia. Alderney seems even more relaxed than Guernsey and small enough to walk round on foot.
