The flanks of Hellvelyn
I had planned a few days away with eldest daughter up in the Lakes in January. We almost canceled due to the weather, but I'm so glad we didn't. On our first day we tackled Helvellyn. For most of the way up it was glorious blue skies, but a few hundred feet from the summit some light cloud rolled in, it completely transformed the scene, giving far more atmosphere. I was lucky to capture these two walkers in the snow as the clouds swirled around us.
